Burton Alpha, 2009

Description

The Alpha™ packs more innovation and quality than a Lamborghini with Gucci interior. The twin shape owns all terrain and comes loaded with premium tech like the NEW Scoop tip and tail shape, which turns the edges up at the contact points to make it even easier to butter, bonk, and ride away from sketch take-offs and landings. To truly freak out the fashion police, pair the Alpha with the B by Burton Modern boot and Notori binding.

Strengths: This board is such an amazing board. I`ve been riding for 12 years and I never had a better board. I would buy it again without any hesitation. Its base is very fast. the edges got a very good grip on tight turns. The board is super smooth to ride. very flexible so its easy to jib around and respond perfectly. a big plus is the directional shape. it gives you a better control in powder but it still great if you want to ride switch.
Weaknesses: The base is amazing. super fast but easy to break off. It peel like a banana...after only one month of use I was missing chunks and needed to got it a shoot of pitex...also after only 4 months of riding I snapted it...a very good board but unfortunatly a board that wont last very long if you ride it very intensively.
