Palmer Honeycomb, 2011

Description

Awarded Outside Magazine’s First Gear of the Year Award, the new Honeycomb is the lightest high-performance snowboard ever. The Smart FLF mini-rocker shape enhanced by its cap-sidewall prepreg construction gives back a playful, smooth, and responsive ride. Carbon fiber strips add energy and rebound, the 7200 graphite base adds speed, and the smooth lacquered top reduces drag. Whether it’s an epic dump, late day crud, or just cruising the groomed, the Honeycomb will put a smile on your face every time you use it. Why pay more for anything less?

Strengths: Had a good board from Palmer - but it did not last long - it delaminated and carbon stringers (like on this one) - broke
Weaknesses: Customer service did not want to stand behind board. Told me it was my fault - but I was just turning in deep powder when it happened - but that was too much for the board to handle - they accused me of hitting a tree - which I did not do... worst experience with a snowboard manufacturer I have had.
